Can you recycle bleach and cleaning chemical bottles?

Empty bleach, detergent and cleaning-product bottles are recyclable at kerbside — being 'chemical' packaging doesn't stop them. Use up the contents fully, leave the cap on, and recycle; official guidance says empty bleach bottles don't even need rinsing (avoid splashing yourself). Bottles with product still inside must not be recycled — use up, give away, or take to your recycling centre's chemical point.
