Drills, sanders and saws are WEEE — recycling centre electricals area, with any removable battery packs going to the battery/battery-pack point instead. Working tools are wanted: tool libraries, Men's Sheds, community repair projects and charity re-sale (some British Heart Foundation stores). Corded tools have decent scrap value in the WEEE stream.

Tips

  • Donate working tools to a local Men's Shed or tool library
  • Lithium packs out and to a battery point — never leave them on the tool in a skip
