The EU’s planned 2035 ban on new petrol and diesel cars is expected to be eased to a 90% CO₂ reduction target, keeping hybrids and some combustion engines in play. For UK ATFs, this means a longer period of mixed ICE, hybrid and EV ELVs, requiring flexible operations and steadily increasing EV and battery-handling capability.
