Can you recycle foil trays and takeaway containers?

Aluminium takeaway trays, pie dishes and roasting trays are recyclable at kerbside if you scrape out the food and give them a rinse — curry-soaked trays are one of the most common contaminants. Badly baked-on, unwashable trays go in general waste. Card or plastic lids are dealt with separately.
