Can you recycle plastic milk bottles?

HDPE milk bottles are collected by all UK councils and are recycled back into new milk bottles. Rinse out milk residue (sour milk is a top contamination complaint), squash, and put the cap back on. The little foil/plastic seal under the cap goes in general waste.

• Caps back on — they're recycled too
