Can you recycle biscuit and sweet tins?
Decorative biscuit, sweet and tea tins are steel and can go straight in kerbside recycling once empty (remove paper liners to paper recycling). They're also endlessly reusable for storage. Very large tins that won't fit the bin can go in the scrap-metal skip at a recycling centre.
Tips
- Reuse for cake storage, sewing kits, tools
- Remove plastic inserts first
