Used and expired inhalers should go back to a pharmacy, not in any bin: metered-dose inhalers contain pressurised canisters and powerful greenhouse-gas propellants (one inhaler's propellant can equal a car journey of well over 100 miles). Pharmacies route them to environmentally-safe disposal or specialist recycling. Dry-powder inhalers are lower impact but should still go back to the pharmacy.
