Can you recycle syringes, needles and sharps?

Medical sharps — needles, syringes, lancets, EpiPens — must go in an approved yellow sharps container, available on prescription or from your GP/pharmacy. When full, your council, GP surgery or pharmacy arranges collection or drop-off depending on local arrangements (check your council's clinical-waste page). Never put loose sharps or filled bottles in any household bin — they injure waste workers.
