Can you recycle wallpaper?

Wallpaper — both offcuts and stripped paper — is not recyclable because it is treated, coated (often with vinyl or paste) and contaminated with adhesive. Put it in general waste or take large amounts from a decorating job to the recycling centre's non-recyclable skip. Unused rolls can be donated or offered on freecycling sites.
