Can you recycle drinking glasses and tumblers?

Drinking glasses, tumblers and wine glasses are made from toughened glass with a different melting point to bottle glass, so they contaminate glass recycling and must not go in the bottle bank or glass bin. Donate usable glassware to charity shops; broken items go wrapped into general waste. Lead crystal is also general waste.
